Kristyn Lopez

Kristyn Bat is a researcher and art educator with 20 years of experience working with cultural institutions and communities. In 2017 she founded Wayfaring Painter, a non-profit art organization in Gainesville, Florida. Her interwoven roles as an educator, hobby gardener, mother and immigrant inform a fearless, observant approach to art, writing and telling one’s own story through a variety of creative approaches. Her work has been featured in various publications, exhibitions and panel discussions internationally and in their home state of Florida, for example on The Athens Art Book Fair (Greece), the UNIDEE Residency at Cittadellarte-Fondazione in Biella (Italy), Queer Erotica Zine (Poland), Lights Out Zine (Great Britain) and Moisturizer Gallery (Florida) to name a few.
