Mário Costa

I have a degree in Acting from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema since 2012. Regarding improv I trained with Gustavo Miranda (OS BARBIXAS/Commedia à la Carte) and Daniel Nascimento (Os BARBIXAS), with Omar Argentino (IMPROTOUR), Laura Doornerweerd (IMPRO AMSTERDAM) and Stephanie Jacob (The PIT-NYC) among others. I participated as a guest improviser in the IRREVERENTE (LISBON INTERNATIONAL IMPROVISATION FESTIVAL) in 2022, 2024 and 2025. I co-created and co-founded the improv comedy group IMPROVISTO in 2014. In 2016 I co-created and co-produced NIM – FESTIVAL NOITES IMPREVISTAS, a festival dedicated to the best of improvisational comedy in Portugal. I was also a guest teacher/improviser at the ImproTresk festival (Impro BRNO, Rep, Checa).I work regularly with corporate improvisation, giving trainings and facilitating training actions through the sharing and insights provided by improvisation theater, and as an actor in role plays for emotional training, having worked in Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, New York, Orlando and Miami.
