About Rafael

Rafael Leal is a Berlin-based storyteller and creative catalyst who applies the tools of narrative and improvisation to rethink how stories are told, both on the screen and in the workplace. With experience in more than sixteen international writers’ rooms, he has mastered the art of transforming diverse groups into cohesive, inventive teams. His LARP-inspired workshops and collaborative creative labs translate directly into corporate contexts, helping organizations unlock creative problem-solving, foster integration, and build a shared language of collaboration. As a screenwriter, Rafael is the creator and head writer of Passinho – The Rhythm of Dreams (Disney+) and the creator of Jungle Pilots (NBC/Universal). He has also contributed to international projects such as Too Soon (Star+) and the VR experience Aleijadinho Virtual. His upcoming VR documentary game, Privilege Game Show, supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, begins production in 2026. Beyond his creative work, Rafael has mentored over 350 screenwriters in initiatives like Netflix’s Segundo Ato and regularly consults on feature films and series. Holding a PhD in Film and Media (UFF, Brazil / LMU Munich, Germany), he bridges rigorous academic insight with practical team innovation. At the center of it all: building stories and building team for organizations ready to think more imaginatively.
