Soyeon Shin

Soyeon Shin is a South Korean dance artist and choreographer. She studied dance at Ewha Womans University(KR) and Seoul Arts High School(KR). After graduating from Ewha Woman’s University, she debuted her first work in Slovenia, earning the 1st prize at the OPUS1 International Young Contemporary Dance Competition. Soyeon has performed in productions;”Tannhäuer” “Madame Butterfly” at the Vienna State Opera (2024-2026) and “We Are” with the Korea National Contemporary Dance Company (2023). She has worked with MN Dance Company (Slovenia), Compassion 2Dance (Norway), Novanna Dance Company (Germany), and Do Do Moov Dance Theater (South Korea). Divadlo Studio tanca, New Cvernovka, Tanz im August Berlin, Seoul International Choreography Festival, PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games Performance, FRONT@ Dance festival Currently, she choreographed the “Dance in the Museum – Korean Spheres” project at the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (SKD).
As a co-founder of Bliss Kollektiv, she explores the intersection of choreography, visual arts, and performance. She has been participating in Venice Biennale 2024, Berlin Art Week, and Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg.

And while working as a dancer, she has practiced yoga since she was very young, and recently, she obtained a yoga instructor certification and is pursuing a career as a yoga instructor as well.
