Thaer Maarouf

Vienna-based visual artist working across painting, mixed media, installation, conceptual art, performance and video. His practice explores identity, displacement, memory and political authority through the human figure and everyday objects. He holds a Master of Fine Arts and a Diploma in Fine Arts from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts. His work has been presented internationally in exhibitions, art fairs and performances, including projects at the Kunsthistorisches Museum, MuseumsQuartier, Wien Museum and Singapore Art Fair.
