Virginia Lombardo

Over the course of my 20+ years career, I have lived and worked internationally (Milan, Houston, Boston, and Brussels), building the cultural awareness and stakeholder management skills required to lead a great amount and variety of matters across geographies. In my in-house roles, I served as Chief Legal Officer at Metinvest Adria S.p.A., and as Head of Legal (Europe Cluster South & Italy) at Hitachi Energy (formerly ABB Power Grids Italy S.p.A.). Earlier, I worked in Belgium as Senior Legal Counsel EMEA for CommScope and TE Connectivity. These roles required partnering with executive leadership, navigating high-risk matters, and ensuring decisions were grounded in integrity, compliance and sound governance. I also spent two years in Houston as Legal Advisor and Contracts Manager for Nidec ASI LLC (formerly Anselectric LLC), after a 10-year career with Nidec ASI S.p.A. (formerly Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali S.p.A.). This experience strengthened my ability to manage complex contracts and compliance-sensitive discussions in an international setting. In 2016, I have opened my own practice, focusing on coaching, consulting, training, supporting organizations and leaders on complex challenges—an experience that further strengthened my judgment, discretion and ability to influence without authority.
