Program Overview

Core Value Proposition

THE PROBLEM: teams get one-off training that feels great for a day and fades by Friday. Speaking up, building on ideas, and staying composed under pressure don't stick from a single workshop — they need repetition in a safe space.

THE TRANSFORMATION: this program turns those skills into habits by putting a team into an ongoing rhythm of rehearsal, so psychological safety and performance become simply how the team operates.
Who benefits: intact teams and their leaders who must collaborate, speak up, and stay steady under pressure.

THE USP: applied improv delivered by a Certified Fraud Examiner and former risk & governance leader — rigorous, credible, and measurable, not a comedy show. Every drill is “translated to Tuesday,” and progress is tracked in the numbers.

Ideal Participants

Teams and their leaders: Managers, team leads, and cross-functional groups.
Seniority from new managers to executive teams (an Executive Closed-Door version is available).
Especially valuable for teams that must think and communicate under pressure: In technology, finance, professional services, healthcare, consulting, highly regulated entities and any function navigating change, growth, or high stakes.

Participant Outcomes

- Speak up earlier and more often, with less hesitation
- Build on colleagues' ideas instead of defending their own
- Stay clear and composed when plans change mid-conversation
- Read the room and respond to what's actually happening
- Recover from mistakes without losing the room or themselves
- Share a common language for collaboration that persists between sessions
- Greater trust and psychological safety across the team
- Higher engagement, energy, and genuine enjoyment of working together

Organizational / Employer Benefits

- Durable psychological safety that holds under real pressure
- Stronger collaboration and cohesion across roles and seniority
- Clearer thinking and composure when the plan changes
- A shared language and habits that persist between sessions
- Measurable improvement in team-readiness scores, cycle over cycle
- Lasting behavior change, not a one-day motivation spike

Structure & Delivery

Session Frequency Explanation

Typically one Lab per month, grouped into quarterly cycles for measurement. Can also run as a quarterly intensive or a custom cadence to fit the client's calendar.

Phases / Modules Details

The program cycles through three modules, sequenced to build on each other (safe → exposed). Each is a complete Lab on its own and a step in the arc; over a longer engagement the cycle repeats at increasing depth.

Module 1 — The Spark (Connect)

Focus: connection, energy, psychological warm-up
Outcome: a team that feels safe to play — the foundation for everything after

Module 2 — The Yes-And Team (Collaborate & feel safe)

Focus: collaboration and psychological safety
Outcome: higher trust and safety — people speak up sooner and build together

Module 3 — Plot Twist (Perform under pressure)

Focus: composure and clear thinking when the plan changes
Outcome: less freezing and rambling, faster recovery, steadier presence in high-stakes moments

Each session opens by revisiting the previous module's carry-out behavior and raises the difficulty one notch — moving the team from feeling safe to play → collaborating generously → performing under real pressure.

Typical Session Structure & Flow

Each Lab follows the same reliable arc, sequenced safe → exposed:
- Arrival & frame (breath, one-word check-in, the one rule + the “failure bow”)
- Laughter-first warm-up (focus and play, zero content — the room decides it's safe)
- Core reps (2–3 improv drills tied to that module's S.T.A.G.E. focus)
- Guided debrief (“where does this live in your real work?”)
- Carry-out (one Monday-morning behavior each person commits to)

Continuity: each session opens by revisiting the last carry-out and builds one notch higher in difficulty. Over the program, teams progress from feeling safe to play → collaborating generously → performing under real pressure. Energy is opened with play, sustained with quick wins and laughter, and grounded with reflection and a concrete takeaway.

Case Studies / Testimonials

Performed and facilitated for teams and audiences at Google, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, the ACFE Global Conference (speaker on applied improv), and Rotary, plus monthly public Labs.

“I expected a lecture we'd forget the moment it ended. Instead it was genuinely memorable — I learned so much and actually enjoyed myself.” — Jesus M., Finance Controller

“I thought it would be another mundane training. It was so much more — confidence, patience, and a whole new perspective.” — Sarah B., Entrepreneur

“Unlike any training I've attended. I started viewing some teammates differently after solving problems with them in a humane way.” — Jigna P., Technology Architecture Lead

Hosted by Shalini Haridoss

About the Host

Shalini Haridoss is the founder and lead facilitator of Unscripted Labs — an improviser and applied-improv facilitator who turns play into practice. Unusually for this work, she's also a Certified Fraud Examiner with a background in risk, which gives her a rare credibility in the room, her sessions are as at home with a guarded leadership team as a creative one.

Through Unscripted Labs she designs experiential sessions called "Labs," where teams don't just sit and listen or take notes, they get on their feet, practice play, and rediscover how to think, speak, and connect under pressure. Everything runs on her signature S.T.A.G.E.™ Method, which distills improvisation into usable tools for presence, adaptability, and psychological safety. No performance or comedy pressure. What makes her rooms work is that they feel effortless while doing genuinely hard behavioral work. People leave saying both "I can't believe how much we laughed" and "I can't believe how much we got done."

A Toastmasters public speaker and bilingual comedian, Shalini knows how to run a room. She runs monthly public Labs and facilitates for corporate teams and kids alike, leaving every group energized, closer, and a little braver and building a community that genuinely enjoys working together. Her work has taken her to stages and teams at Google, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, the ACFE Global Conference, and Rotary.
