About the Host
Hi, I’m Karen. I’m a multi-disciplinary creative artist based on Gadigal Land, with a professional background in acting and theatre-making. My core practices—Physical and Sensorial Theatre—emerged through years of global exploration and are deeply rooted in transformation, spirituality, and embodied presence. I teach rigorous actor training programs that emphasise self-development, guiding artists into heightened states of focus, play, and curiosity. My approach blends imagination, moved meditation, ritual, and creative prompts to support holistic growth. As a creative mentor and acting coach, I hold space for the vastness of those I work with—encouraging bold expression and self-surprise. My spiritual path is self-directed and woven through everyday life, dreams, and nature. It speaks through the body and informs my artistry. I currently run art therapy workshops with Inner West Neighbour Aid, facilitate therapeutic dance programs and train new practitioners through Dance Health Alliance and teach ballroom and Latin dance. I’m also studying a Bachelor of Art Therapy, deepening my commitment to creative wellbeing and embodied transformation.
