Description
You will create a small stained-glass window using the copper-foil, or “Tiffany,” technique and fragments of multicolored glass. Each participant selects one or more colored piece of glass, and together the group composes a unique artwork. Each fragment is wrapped in copper foil and soldered with tin to form a single luminous panel.
The finished piece belongs to the group and can be suspended in front of a window or in any space that receives light.
This workshop is a team-building experience in which each person draws on their own inner creative space and brings it into a shared work of art — a collective object of light and color.

About the Host
A stained glass artist born in Chicago and trained in Paris, with experience making windows and organizing interactive workshops in many different environments. She primarily uses recycled glass, and encourages a more organic way to create with this centuries-old medium. She integrates poetry into her stained glass by painting text fragments onto shards, as well as performing poems while making copper-foiled glass art live. Her work bridges worlds that are ancient and contemporary, emerging through color, light, interior space, and creative cohesion.
