Description
Artificial intelligence, rapid technological change, shifting markets, and increasing uncertainty are forcing individuals and organisations to rethink how they work, create, adapt, and innovate.
Yet creativity is often misunderstood as a talent reserved for artists, designers, or entrepreneurs.
In reality, creativity is one of the most important human skills for navigating uncertainty, solving problems, generating ideas, and finding opportunities where others see obstacles.
In this engaging and highly interactive workshop, award-winning storyteller, producer, narrative designer, and creative strategist Brooke Burgess explores how creative thinking can be cultivated, strengthened, and applied across business, leadership, innovation, education, and everyday life.
Drawing on experiences from film, games, publishing, emerging technologies, AI systems, entrepreneurship, and live creative projects, Brooke shares practical frameworks for helping individuals and teams become more adaptable, resilient, and innovative.
Participants will explore:
• Why creativity is becoming increasingly valuable in an AI-driven world
• Common barriers that prevent innovation and fresh thinking
• How assumptions shape perception and decision-making
• Techniques for generating stronger ideas and solutions
• The relationship between uncertainty, experimentation, and growth
• How storytelling influences innovation and organisational culture
• Navigating change without becoming overwhelmed by it
• Building environments where creativity and collaboration can thrive
The session includes practical exercises, thought experiments, facilitated discussion, real-world examples, and actionable tools that participants can immediately apply within their teams and organizations.

About the Host
I'm an award-winning writer, filmmaker, creative strategist, and narrative architect with more than two decades of experience in helping people make sense of complexity through story. A former trailblazer in the gaming industry and the creator of multiple acclaimed transmedia projects, I've spent my career at the intersection of storytelling, innovation, technology, and human engagement. My work spans games, film, publishing, live experiences, leadership development, and emerging AI-driven systems. Today, I design and facilitate workshops, keynote presentations, and interactive experiences that help teams communicate more effectively, think more creatively, navigate change, and uncover the narratives shaping their organizations. Known for an energetic, thought-provoking, and highly engaging style, I aim to blend practical frameworks with memorable stories drawn from decades of work across entertainment, technology, entrepreneurship, and culture. In my sessions, I explore topics such as storytelling for business, creative thinking, communication, innovation, AI and human creativity, audience engagement, leadership through narrative, and building meaningful experiences that resonate more deeply with audiences and users. Whether speaking to executives, entrepreneurs, creative teams, or emerging leaders, my goal is simple: help people see their challenges through a new lens…and leave with a clearer sense of what story they want to tell next.
