In this session, we will explore the concept of leadership through the lens of four distinct cultures: Chinese, Persian, German, and Italian. By tracing the etymology of the word “leadership” in each language, we will uncover how historical roots shape contemporary interpretations of this widely used concept in both business and personal contexts.

This journey across diverse cultural backgrounds will offer participants fresh perspectives on how leadership is understood, practiced, and valued around the world. The session will also be interactive, encouraging reflection, discussion, and connection among participants.

About the Host

I was born in a tiny village in the southern mountain of Italy and I've always been fascinated by exploring cultures. I studied Chinese Mandarin and lived in China for four years, lived in Germany for five, met my Iranian husband and now live in Spain. I breath Intercultural Communication daily with my two polyglot young kids and at work when I design and deliver my training and workshops.
My expertise spans Recruitment, L&D and Training Management across both corporate and NGO environments. Combined with an MBA and multiple certifications in DEI, Coaching, and Training Design, this background gives me a distinctive ability to connect insights across functions and drive people agility when working across cultures.
I enjoy facilitating sessions on Leadership Development with an Intercultural and Diversity Management approach to senior corporate managers as well as young adults.
