Workshop
Description
This 90-minute workshop is designed for professionals who want to handle judgment, criticism and feedback with clarity, emotional stability and confidence, without losing their sense of self or professional effectiveness.
In today’s work environments, evaluation is constant: meetings, feedback loops, performance reviews, presentations, informal comments. While feedback is essential, it can also activate strong emotional reactions, self-doubt or internal pressure — often unconsciously. This workshop offers a structured and practical framework to understand and regulate these reactions.
Workshop content
The session combines reflection, experiential tools and applied strategies, focusing on three key dimensions:
1. Understanding emotional triggers
Participants are guided to identify:
-
their personal emotional triggers in situations of judgment or criticism,
-
how past experiences, beliefs and internal narratives influence current reactions,
-
the difference between the external situation and the internal emotional response.
This step allows participants to move from “automatic reaction” to conscious awareness.
2. Exploring the relationship to judgment and self-judgment
A central part of the workshop focuses on:
-
our individual relationship to external judgment (feedback, opinions, evaluation),
-
the often stronger impact of internal self-judgment,
-
how self-criticism amplifies stress and emotional instability.
Participants learn to recognize these patterns and understand how they shape professional behavior and confidence.
3. Anchoring and emotional regulation tools
The workshop introduces practical anchoring techniques, combining body awareness and emotional regulation, to help participants:
-
stay grounded during challenging interactions,
-
welcome feedback without defensiveness or collapse,
-
maintain emotional stability while remaining open and engaged.
All tools are directly applicable to real workplace situations.
Approach
The approach is pragmatic, respectful and non-therapeutic. It is designed for corporate environments and focuses on self-leadership, emotional intelligence and professional presence, not on personal disclosure.
The workshop is interactive, accessible to all profiles and adaptable to different organizational cultures.

About the Host
My professional journey spans over 25 years, across three complementary fields: technical environments, education and artistic leadership, and workplace well-being through coaching and facilitation. What connects them all is a deep commitment to helping people function better together and feel more alive at work.
I began my career as an industrial mechanical engineer, working for nearly 9 years (1998–2007) in the aerospace and industrial sectors in Belgium. These environments taught me rigor, systems thinking, accountability and the realities of performance-driven organizations. During that time, I also worked as an assistant and lecturer at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (2000–2001), teaching CAD/CAM (CATIA) to undergraduate engineering students and participating in an R&D project in micro-fabrication. This experience grounded my ability to structure content clearly and transmit complex material in an accessible way.
In parallel, I developed a strong vocation for teaching, facilitation and group dynamics. Since 2001, I have worked as a professional teacher and facilitator, and since 2010, I am the founder and director of the Salwa Dance Academy (Brussels). Over the years, the academy has welcomed 30 to 160 participants per year, and I have coordinated teams of 3 to 15 teachers, depending on the projects.
Beyond teaching, a large part of my work has consisted in designing and delivering workshops, both for adults and professionals: workshops focused on body awareness, stress regulation, emotional intelligence, confidence, communication, leadership presence and group cohesion. I have facilitated workshops in artistic, educational and professional contexts, always adapting the content to the audience and organizational culture.
I have also led a semi-professional company for over 10 years, coordinated international projects and organized large-scale events and festivals, managing budgets from €7,000 to €120,000. These roles required strong coordination skills, clarity, adaptability and the ability to keep teams engaged and aligned under pressure.
Since 2023, I work as an independent coach and holistic therapist, offering workshops and group sessions focused on workplace well-being, emotional regulation, trauma-informed approaches, resilience and sustainable performance. My interventions combine structure, scientific grounding, embodied practices and a deeply human approach.
Fluent in English, French and Italian, with a strong professional level in Spanish, I am comfortable working in international and multicultural environments.
I take my work seriously, but I believe that humor, authenticity and curiosity are essential leadership tools. For me, vitality at work emerges when people feel safe, engaged, understood — and invited to grow. That is exactly what I aim to create through my workshops and collaborative experiences.
