Description
A rich, experience-based session for leaders managing diverse, international, or multi-cultural teams. Drawing on over 16 years of leading people across Central and Eastern Europe, Italy, and beyond — and personal experience of cross-cultural life — the facilitator guides attendees through the most common cultural friction points in international organisations. Participants engage in a cultural mapping exercise, plotting their own communication, feedback, and conflict styles against those of their teams. A facilitated role-play then brings cultural misunderstandings to life in a safe, often humorous way, allowing participants to experience different cultural lenses firsthand. The session closes with each leader crafting a personal "cultural leadership compass" — a practical reference card for navigating their specific team's cultural landscape with awareness and authenticity.
Benefits
- Empathy — The cultural mapping and role-play exercises build genuine understanding of how differently people experience the same situation, transforming frustration into curiosity
- Cohesion — Teams whose leaders understand and bridge cultural differences perform with significantly greater unity and trust
- Confidence — Leaders leave with a personalised tool and a clearer self-awareness of their own cultural defaults, enabling more intentional and effective communication
- Perspective — Experiencing other cultural lenses firsthand is one of the fastest ways to expand a leader's worldview and challenge deeply held assumptions
- Resilience — Understanding cultural friction as a structural feature — not a personal failure — reduces stress and builds a more stable foundation for international leadership
- Relationship-Building — The shared laughter and vulnerability of the role-play exercise creates genuine human connection between participants across boundaries

About the Host
HR Leader & AI Educator passionate about the future of human work. With 16+ years of international experience at premium brands across Europe — including Red Bull, Mars, and Kantar — I've spent my career at the intersection of people, culture, and transformation.
Today, my focus is on what truly matters: how we use technology — particularly AI — not to replace human connection, but to create more space for it. More time for creativity, for presence, for the things that make us feel alive. But beyond the corporate world, I'm deeply curious about wellbeing, happiness at work, and how leaders can build cultures where humans genuinely thrive — not just perform.
