Description
For teams and individual makers who feel stuck. Participants trace what stands between them and the work, from perfectionism and comparison to burnout, health, and life load. Rather than treating the block as a failure, we read it as information and practice concrete ways back into making. Delivered for a group, the session moves everyone through a shared block together and builds real trust in the room. Every participant leaves with a personal collage block map and one small experiment to try that week.
Benefits
- A shared vocabulary for creative stuckness the team can use afterward, instead of vague language like "not feeling it"
- Real visibility into patterns leadership cannot see from outside: a whole team quietly carrying the same block, or the same story about who gets permission to make work
- Trust built through structured vulnerability, the kind that carries into how the team gives each other feedback going forward
- Fewer stalled projects, since teams leave with language to name a block early instead of letting it derail a deadline
- A repeatable framework managers can reference later, a shared model for future check-ins, not a one-time exercise
- A clear, personal read on where each person's block lives and what it is asking for
- A menu of re-entry practices every participant can use again on their own
- A tangible collage map each person takes home, a real marker of the day

About the Host
I am a writer, fiber artist, and creative health researcher with 20 years of experience. Founded Create Me Free in 2001. Developed the Creative Health Cartography framework, a research-based method using collage, storytelling, and mapping to help artists and teams navigate the intersection of creativity, health, and life circumstance. My sessions use hands-on collage map-making, guided reflections, and structured storytelling to help participants understand how health and circumstance reshape their creative practice. I hold an MA in Psychological Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
