Description
This exercise seeks to integrate a relational/affective dimension, with the surrounding context, while exploring this old print processe technic in tones of blue, discovered in 1842 by the english astronomer Sir John Herschel.
Attendees guided through the principles of cyanotype handcrafted photography, will be asked to select an object, a significant representation of their relation to the place/situation / work environment.
A image is obtained by contacting the selected objects with a previously sensitised surface.
A small narrative will be elaborated putting together all the participants description of their piece.
Considering the ‘model’ represents the choices with meaning of part of a group, and in accordance to the definition of the humanist geography, the result obtained is the place as a form of human experience.
Benefits
This exercise promotes creativity, a sense of awe, observing the photographic image appear just like magic, relaxation, abstract thinking, self knowledge, collective notion and team building.
