Description

Most conversations don't break down because people aren't speaking.

They break down because people aren't really listening.

The Listening Lab is an interactive experience that explores one of the most overlooked skills in leadership, teamwork, and everyday relationships: intentional listening.

During this experience, participants will:

  • Explore the difference between hearing and intentional listening
  • Participate in interactive listening exercises
  • Practise giving another person their full attention
  • Reflect on common communication barriers
  • Learn techniques for asking stronger questions and responding with greater curiosity
  • Identify practical ways to improve everyday workplace conversations

The experience is practical, conversational, and immediately applicable to professional and personal relationships.

Benefits

Participants will:

  • Become more aware of how their listening habits shape every conversation.
  • Experience the difference between hearing words and truly understanding another person's perspective.
  • Learn practical approaches that make everyday conversations more productive and rewarding.
  • Ask better questions that invite dialogue rather than simply exchanging information.
  • Reduce misunderstandings by listening with greater curiosity and intention.
  • Create space for people to feel heard, respected, and valued.
  • Leave with practical techniques they can immediately apply in meetings, leadership conversations, customer interactions, and everyday relationships.

Additional Experience Info

Ideal for leadership development, team communication, conflict prevention, onboarding, and professional development.

About the Host

Stories shape relationships. Conversations shape culture. The way we recognize value shapes the choices we make every day.

Through Voice Share Experiences, I design and facilitate engaging experiences that invite people to pause, reflect, participate, and discover something meaningful together. Whether working with leadership teams, conference audiences, educators, or community organizations, my goal is never simply to deliver information. It is to create experiences that people continue talking about long after they leave the room.

My work draws on more than twenty-five years of experience across education, organizational development, facilitation, literature, and the performing arts. As a teacher, author, spoken word artist, and organizational consultant, I bring together storytelling, thoughtful dialogue, and practical application to create experiences that are memorable, relevant, and immediately useful.

Every Voice Share Experience is designed to help participants leave with fresh perspective, meaningful conversations, and practical actions they can begin using immediately.

People rarely remember every slide from a presentation. They remember the conversations that changed how they saw themselves and one another. That's the kind of experience I strive to create.
