Description
For many new boards and senior leadership teams, the hardest part is not agreeing on the mission – it is learning how to think effectively together under pressure.
This short, practical Council helps senior leaders to think better together under pressure, using a structured process inspired by the Time to Think meta‑communication framework.
Participants generate a unique momentum, supporting a team member with a real strategic or governance dilemma while discovering a repeatable way of meeting that strengthens trust and quality of decisions.
Benefits
Clarity: Leaders leave with one real problem moved forward, deeper trust, and a repeatable structure for more inclusive, resilient, nourishing decision‑making
Bold, Empathetic, & Safe: This is not role‑play: participants bring genuine dilemmas and work on them in a psychologically bold structure that respects governance boundaries
Easy to schedule: as a breakout or “leadership lab” during off-sites and strategy days, with minimal logistics and a clear output: a new meeting format you can use immediately
Build rapid trust through uninterrupted, high-quality listening and storytelling
A liberating approach: the process removes advice-giving, so that the leader who presents their case can think independently
Meetings that stick: the session’s calibration ensures every voice is heard, valued, assumptions are clarified, relevant information is absorbed, and decisions improve
Facilitated: A process supported by a facilitator who ensures the foundations of the meeting are simultaneously rigorous and empowering
