Description

A neuroscience-informed, EQ-led session that gives teams and their leaders a shared language for navigating change — before it hits hardest

The experience

Change doesn't feel the same for everyone — and that's not weakness, it's neuroscience. When an organisation shifts, restructures, or pivots, people respond in ways they often can't explain: resistance, disengagement, anxiety, or the sudden inability to think clearly. This session explains why — and more importantly, what to do about it.

In this 90-minute session, teams and their leaders come together to understand how the brain responds to uncertainty, how stress and threat states show up differently in the body, and how to name what's happening — in yourself and in the people around you. Because when you can name it, you can navigate it.

Grounded in the neuroscience of change and delivered through an emotional intelligence lens, this session builds the kind of collective awareness that makes a team genuinely change-ready — not just informed that change is coming.

Part 1
Your brain on change
Why change triggers threat responses, what happens in the brain under uncertainty, and why "just be positive" doesn't work.
Part 2
How it shows up in the body
Recognising stress states — in yourself and others — through physical and behavioural signals. What different brain states actually look like in a team.
Part 3
Name it to tame it
Building a shared language for emotional states during change — and practical tools for regulating, responding, and supporting others once you've named what's happening.

Benefits

  • Understanding of brain states under stress
  • Shared language for the change journey
  • Tools to self-regulate and support others
  • Increased empathy across the teamPractical
  • EQ skills for transitionLeaders and teams aligned on what's normal

About the Host

I'm an award-winning Organisational Development and Learning Leader with 15+ years of global experience across the Tech, Cosmetics, Travel, and Fashion retail sectors — and a track record of 200+ facilitated training sessions, including 60+ specialising in DiSC, with real, measurable impact on teams. I'm a certified DiSC practitioner and pride myself on being culturally inclusive, bringing hands-on people management, sales and customer service experience to everything I design and deliver.
My work is underpinned by one belief: that great leadership starts with self-awareness, and self-awareness starts with empathy. I have a particular passion for working with managers at the very start of their people-leading journey — helping them build the skills, language, and confidence to lead well from day one.
