Program Overview

Core Value Proposition

The Challenges This Program Addresses

Disconnection from self — becoming so focused on external demands, expectations and responsibilities that it becomes difficult to hear your own needs, feelings, desires and internal signals.

People-pleasing and over-adapting — automatically adjusting to others, avoiding conflict or prioritizing others' needs in order to maintain connection or belonging.

External validation and performance — looking outside yourself for approval, reassurance or direction, or feeling pressure to perform competence, success, likability or a particular role in order to feel valued.

Dimming or hiding parts of yourself — holding back your opinions, needs, desires, creativity or expression because being fully visible can feel risky, uncomfortable or unsafe.

Difficulty knowing and expressing what is true — sensing that something is not aligned without having the clarity, confidence or language to identify what you need, want or believe.

Emotional disconnection and reactivity — overriding feelings, disconnecting from the body or becoming caught in automatic reactions rather than staying present with your experience and choosing how to respond.

Unclear boundaries and relational patterns — losing connection with yourself in relationship, struggling to recognize your limits or finding it difficult to remain yourself while navigating the needs, expectations and perspectives of others.

The deeper challenge: a gap between inner knowing and outward expression — knowing something within yourself but struggling to trust it, communicate it or allow it to shape how you live, work and relate.

Ideal Participants

Who It's For

The Art of Being Seen is for individuals and groups who want to develop a deeper, more trusting relationship with themselves and bring greater authenticity into the way they live, work and relate.

It is particularly relevant for people who:

Feel disconnected from their own needs, desires, values or sense of direction
Tend to people-please, over-adapt, perform or shape themselves around others' expectations
Feel like a “black sheep,” outsider or like they don't quite fit the roles or environments they've been given
Hold back their opinions, creativity, needs or desires out of fear of judgment, rejection or conflict
Struggle to trust themselves or make decisions without seeking external validation
Want to develop greater self-acceptance, confidence and agency
Find it difficult to communicate boundaries, needs or what is genuinely true for them
Want deeper, more honest and meaningful relationships
Are navigating a personal or professional transition and questioning who they want to be in this next chapter

The program is suitable for individuals, private groups, professional teams, leadership groups, women's groups and mixed-gender groups.

It can support both personal and professional development, including authentic communication, relational awareness, self-leadership, confidence, collaboration and navigating change.

No previous experience with somatic, meditation or embodied practices is required.

Participant Outcomes

Together, these capacities support:

Self-trust and confidence in personal decision-making
Self-agency and conscious choice

Greater adaptability through change and uncertainty
More integrated ways of living and leading

Organizational / Employer Benefits

Greater self-worth and self-acceptance — develop a more compassionate and trusting relationship with yourself, without needing to earn belonging through performance or approval.

Freedom from over-adapting — recognize and loosen patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, performance and self-silencing that can keep you from showing up fully.

Greater self-trust and agency — become more confident in your own needs, values, decisions and inner knowing.

More authentic expression — feel greater freedom to communicate your thoughts, feelings, boundaries and desires without continually editing yourself to fit expectations.

Deeper and more meaningful connection — create relationships rooted in honesty, presence and mutuality rather than performance or self-abandonment.

Greater emotional resilience — build capacity to remain connected to yourself through discomfort, uncertainty, change and relational tension.

Increased confidence and willingness to be seen — develop the courage to take up space, share your perspective and allow more of who you are to be known.

More integrated ways of living and working — bring greater alignment between what you sense, feel, value, say and do across personal and professional life.

Structure & Delivery

Typical Session Structure & Flow

Session Structure & Flow

The Art of Being Seen unfolds over six weeks, creating a gradual journey from rooted self-awareness toward authentic expression, connection and integration.

Weeks 1–5: UNFOLDING

Participants meet for one 2-hour live facilitated session each week, moving through five stages inspired by the natural process of growth:

Week 1 — SOIL / GROUND
Creating the conditions to arrive, root and reconnect with embodied presence.

Week 2 — SEED / ATTUNE
Listening inwardly to needs, rhythms, desires and what is beginning to emerge.

Week 3 — WATER / FEEL
Developing the capacity to feel, nourish and move with emotional experience.

Week 4 — SUN / CLARIFY
Bringing awareness to patterns, expectations, values and boundaries, and clarifying what is true and what is ready to shift.

Week 5 — BLOOM / EXPRESS
Bringing inner knowing into authentic expression, communication, relationship and action — allowing more of who we are to be seen.

Each session combines somatic and embodied practices, guided inquiry, experiential exercises, reflection and group dialogue, with practical application to everyday life, work and relationships.

Week 6: INTEGRATION

The journey concludes with a 60-minute live integration session.

Participants reflect on what has shifted, what has emerged and what they want to continue nurturing. The session supports them in translating insight into lived practice and identifying the environments, relationships, boundaries and practices that will help sustain their growth.

The Rhythm of the Journey

The weekly structure creates space between sessions for participants to experience, notice, reflect and integrate. Rather than rushing toward an outcome, the program allows self-trust and authentic expression to develop organically over time.

The journey moves from:

Root → Listen → Feel → Clarify → Bloom → Integrate

creating the conditions for participants to move from trying to fit in to belong toward belonging more fully to themselves.

About the Host

I’m Sophia Wood Massicotte, Embodiment Mentor, Threshold Guide and Founder of Alkimia Embodied Healing Arts, offering transformational spaces that cultivate authenticity, intimacy and vitality.

Through private mentorship, retreats, workshops and community experiences, I guide women and men through the thresholds of life and back into a living relationship with their inner wisdom and the truth of who they are.

My work weaves together five gateways of wisdom (Body, Nature, Archetypes, Emotions and Relationships) creating experiential spaces where people can slow down, feel, listen and discover what is asking to emerge. Rather than focusing solely on the mind, I invite people into a more embodied way of knowing, where insight can be felt, explored and lived.

I work especially with people navigating significant transitions and seasons of change, moments when an old way of being no longer fits and something new is asking to emerge. I support a movement from disconnection to self-belonging, and from living primarily from the outside in to creating, loving and leading from a place of deeper trust, courage and aliveness.
